Lemonade ... and then ...

You may have noticed that Dana presented me with a 'Lemonade Award' this week for 'taking those lemons thrown at you and squeezing back. Real hard' . Amazing, that someone who has been through so much herself this year should think I am deserving.

The Lemonade Award is not really a traditional tag, but apparently, if I want, I can pass it on.

Well, I want to mark the start of 2009 by passing it on to a friend who has also been through a lot in the last 12 months. She has had more lemons thrown at her than Sprite and 7UP combined would use in their respective beverages, and yet of all she has just kept making lemonade with a smile on her face and faith in her heart.

Wils, I promise I won't tag you again this year :-)

Goodness, it's like buses! You blog for two and a half years and think noone even looks at your mad ramblings and then all of a sudden really generous people start giving you awards! I'm like 'what?? me??'

Judy has bestowed another award upon me thus:

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are extremely charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award."

I guess all those words mean I have an award for being friendly, and hey ... I'm going to pass this one on to all the friends I've made through my blogging.

You know I thought of Wils as well, she is such an inspiration to me in her victory! I'm so glad you awarded her!

And yes, part of the award is to pass it on...encouragement is one ingredient of the lemonade recipe!

And you do encourage me so - you are most deserving!

Aw shucks girls, thanks. And it's one "a-peel-ing" meme that won't give me the "pip". (As long as you're not taking the "pith"?)

Hats off to you girl when it comes to encouragement - the emphasis on the "courage" bit. Go get 'em in 2009.
