Mamalang has set the theme for this weeks Fun Monday and I have to list my three favourite carols. This is not an easy one as I love carols, and also because I sang in a choir for many years and so have lots of carols in my repertoire! But ...
My first and absolute favourite carol is Carol of the Bells (also known as the "Ukrainian Bell Carol"). I just love it with the whole bell sound thing going on. Love it, love it, love it!
Third I'm going to say the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah because I got most satisfaction from having learnt it as a choir piece.
The second part of the challenge was to a share a Christmas picture - mine is in the post below!

Lovely tree!
And those are amazing carols/songs...
I'm done with my decor at my porch...and 85% of the garden...leaving my tree up but naked! LOL I hope everything gets done by Saturday...
Happy Fun Monday!
Anyone who has ever sung the Halleujah Chorus will never forget the thrill, right? After all these years I still sing it -- and direct the choir--while driving down the highway. Fun but not very safe, I'll admit.
Merry Christmas
Handel's Messiah - the entire score. There is so much from Isaiah in his music, so hope-filled. I keep a cd of Handel's Messiah in the van - it doesn't have to be Christmas to listen to it.
Beautiful tree!!! And fabulous choices for the favorite Christmas Carols.
Happy Fun Monday
Eww! Christmas music! Sorry, can't go there.
Great tree. I love a beautifully decorated tree like that.
Immanuel is beautiful. I linked and listened.
Indeed, to sing in the "Hallelujah Chorus" is an incredible experience.
Great choices, Love Celtic women. I tear up during the singing of the Halleujah Chorus.
Great song choices! I too love Away In The Manger - the reason for the season! I just love those cute snowmen!!
I love all Christmas carols I only hate when they start playing them already end November in the shopping malls ! Then at Christmas you have an overdose ! I like your tree very much it is not so overloaded with decoration. I like it when you still can see that it is a tree with branches, lol !
Those are great songs!
The high school that my daughter goes to is the one that my husband (and his parents before him) went to. They invite any choral alumni to come up and join the choir in the Hallelujah Chorus. It's always an amazing finish to the show.
