It could be worse. We could be English.

Hi Chemical,

Thanks for your in-depth analysis on my blog of the Irish rugby problem! Thanks also for the offer of a coffee from Ravenhill.

In reference to one of your postings a couple of weeks ago about anthems and flags, I read an editorial in the Times today that suggested if the team had come on to the pitch last night under the Irish tricolour and sung Amhran na Bhfiann it would have given greater inspiration(!)

What do you think?

I think if someone thought doing Riverdance across the pitch before the match started would help they should give it a go!

Being English we have the knack of knowing when something isn't important. Rugby isn't important this year. It was in 2003.

It's a toss up between 20/20 cricket and women's football right now. Things may change

I think things have changed. It's probably only the women's football that is of any importance this year.

Things may change again ...
