If the Twelfth is on the thirteenth this year, when is the Eleventh?

I presume the bonfires are still on the 11th, rather than doing it on the Sunday night? Very Irish was of doing things with the 12th on the 13th!

I'm confused.

ah Dana, you're in good company - the Irish were confused too. (northern ones anyway, the southern ones are just broke!)

Some lit the traditional beacon bonfires on the 11th - like Elijah and the prophets of baal it was - torrential rain... he didn't use petrol though! Others lit theirs on the 12th... and the shops opened on the 13th... all over the place we are this year.
