Skiing at Stowe

So, we are home!

We've had a great holiday, St Patrick's Day in Boston was special, and the skiing at Stowe was brilliant! This is the kids first time skiing and they absolutely loved it and took to it like ducks to water.

This little clip shows Michael running his dad off the mountain, and there's a guest appearance by Jill the 'skiing marshmallow' at the end of the clip!

Pleased to report no major accidents or incidents, just one very bad chest infection (me), a couple of bad coughs and four lots of dry lips to prove we were even away.

Looks like you had a nice holiday. I'd love to go sking sometime. Is it as easy as it looks?

You should give it a go Cosmo, you'd enjoy it. It's one of those things you either love or you hate - no in betweens.

Having said that, I've not skiied in 10 years - I hate being cold, I have a pathological fear of heights, I hate travelling at speed on or in anything other than a car with airbags, I hate the feeling of not having control and now that I have arthritis in my left ankle, I am mighty relieved that I don't have to try and pass myself at the sport any longer!

It's not as easy as it looks, but it's not as bad as I make it sound either! There's a fair amount of falling about initially, but if you persist you can pick it up pretty quickly.

Wow, you can't tell that was a first timer.

Like I'd know...I have never skiied.

Didn't get to hear much talking...I was so hoping. :)

Dana, you'd not have heard me. My jaw was frozen solid in an inane grin. It still is ...
